Hetras is a hotel management system built to help hoteliers focus more on guests and less on their computers. Not satisfied just with building one of the first cloud-based property management systems (PMS), we also made sure that the system is easy to use, integrate, and update. As part of the Shiji Group, Hetras is proud to play an important role in a wide-ranging open hotel and travel technology ecosystem.
To that end, we have continued to pioneer new ways to help hotels improve the guest experience through mobile solutions and in-house systems, creating an open framework that allows hotels to integrate seamlessly with new partners. Not only that, but our easy-to-use interfaces and public API have also been pushing the industry to create new and open integrations, which help hotels reduce the workload and improve guest interactions. Today, the Hetras PMS is used by the most innovative hotel companies catering to the 21st-century guest.
Engage your guest, not your computers!
Hetras’ office is located in the heart of Munich, with countless shops and restaurants nearby, not to mention the Isar River, just two suburban train stations away. This means that it’s easy for our employees to take a walk or run private errands during their lunch break or after work.
At Hetras, you have the option of setting your own flexible working hours around the core hours, which enables you to combine work with the needs of your private life. This arrangement is available in almost all departments.
We also offer home office days, if needed. This provides you with the opportunity to work from home and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
All employees get the equipment they need, because we want them to be fully equipped and have the latest technology stack.
Hetras provides coffee, tea, water, and other beverages for free. You will find fresh fruit available daily. We have a kitchen, including a refrigerator and microwave, and plenty of quality restaurants nearby.
Our employees enjoy special perks when booking hotel accommodation and other services. They can also take advantage of the regularly occurring special reductions on our corporate benefits portal and enjoy attractive offers involving technology, events, and fashion.
We hold regular Hetras company meetings. These are information events for our employees, during which our management and the various departments provide information about current company topics and marketing developments. Our company culture is heavily influenced by the Bavarian beer garden culture, which means that we like to have a good time together. We hold various team events in the summer and have a party at Chinese New Year.
Interested in improving your German? You're not alone! Form a group, find an instructor, and Hetras will provide meeting rooms after hours to support the class.
“The idea of being part of a small, innovative, and fast-paced team that can make a difference in the hotel industry by developing entirely new products thrilled me. This market, with its new generation hotels, serviced apartments, and hotel chains, has a bright future.”
“As for what I enjoy in Germany, I like the people who live and work here. They are very different from people in Ukraine, but most of them are friendly and not indifferent to what is happening around them. I like the climate and weather here, despite the fact that the rain prefers to fall on weekends. I like the mountains and the fact that I can easily reach them, and I like that I have a lot of new opportunities.”
Q: What advice would you give today’s revenue managers?
A: I would suggest trying Hetras Hotel Management Software, where, on the front-end, you will find my handiwork and efforts to keep things simple. Or, you can consider a career change and come work for Hetras! We are still looking for new employees.
Q: How did you come to work for Hetras?
A: Once I decided to make Munich my adopted city, I was on the lookout for something that was challenging and different from what I had done so far. The position at Hetras stood out among other offers I received, since the idea of working for a startup that is revolutionizing the hotel industry excited me. So, I joined Hetras in 2011, and now, when I look back, it was the right decision.
Q: What made you join Hetras?
A: I love the fast growing tech environment and wanted to work for a software company. To tell the truth, the second thing that stood out for me was the fact that Hetras is happy to work around the schedules of working mothers – that is, the company offers flexibility for those who have a family. Being a mother of two, I need to know that, if necessary, I can stay home, look after my children when they are ill, and work from my home office. I really appreciate the sense of freedom that gives me.
